OUR HERITAGE
Our law firm has been advising businesses, organisations, trusts, families and individuals in Marlborough for nearly 150 years.
In the same year that John Barleyman established his legal practice in Blenheim, David Herd planted Marlborough's first vines at Auntsfield in Fairhall.

As with Marlborough's growth and reputation in producing quality wine, the firm (now Wisheart Macnab & Partners) has provided continuous quality legal advice and support to clients throughout the region for nearly 150 years.

Our story has grown alongside and within Marlborough's own, and our partners have helped to shape policy within Marlborough and across New Zealand.

A former Partner, Sir Doug Kidd, was MP for Marlborough from 1978 to 1996 and held a number of ministerial portfolios, including Fisheries, Energy and Labour. He was appointed Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1996 to 1999.

Merv Wisheart played a key role in Marlborough's growth as a Councillor.

Brian Dwyer is a current Environment Court judge, and Mike Turner is a current District Court judge.
